This beautiful abstract painting with its striking colour combination represents the discovery of the Higgs boson, also known as God particle. This particle was found by letting protons collide with each other at high speeds. This is exactly what i have tried to depict here: the shattering of matter. The paint has been diluted and is poured/ thrown onto the canvas in a cup. This gives the illusion of matter flying away from the center. It is an old canvas with original frame which I found online. This too is a truly stunning frame and therefor I am most proud of the result. Frame can show traces of age and use (small chips and damages).
