Heavy Seas

By using dark colours with white on top, the illusion of a heavy sea is created. The whole appears threatening – one can almost feel the wind and cold which are often present at sea. Frame is painted white and the ornaments feature blue paint which is applied with a sponge. By applying the blue paint with a sponge, colour is only added to the higher parts. It is an old canvas with original frame which have been overpainted. Frame can show traces of age (small chips and or damages).
